This 6 Day Kenya safari to Ol Pejeta Conservancy, Lake Nakuru, and the Masai Mara starts and ends in Nairobi with a visit to Ol Pejeta Conservancy, a wildlife haven that supports a diverse range of species, including the Big Five (lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo, and rhino). Here, you can enjoy a unique experience of visiting the last two remaining northern white rhinos in the world.

Next, head to Lake Nakuru, a picturesque soda lake that attracts millions of flamingos, pelicans, and other water birds. You’ll also have a chance to witness black and white rhinos up close and personal at the Rhino Sanctuary within Lake Nakuru National Park.

Finally, wrap up your tour with a visit to the Masai Mara, one of the world’s most renowned wildlife reserves. Here, you’ll have the opportunity to see the wildebeest migration (July-October), as well as countless other wildlife species like lions, cheetahs, hippos, elephants, and giraffes. You can explore the savannah plains of the Masai Mara with a professional guide, who will take you on game drives to the most prime wildlife viewing spots.

Itinerary

Day 1: Transfer from Nairobi to Masai Mara National Reserve

Early morning after your breakfast, our guide will pick you up at 7:00 H from your hotel in Nairobi to transfer to you Masai Mara National Reserve. You will be briefed first upon your adventure to Africa’s greatest wildlife Reserve before you embark on the journey. Enjoy a drive through scenic views of the Nairobi suburbs, beautiful savannah grasslands and the plains of the Rift Valley. You will stop have 2 stop over points; one for breakfast and the other at the Great Rift Valley view point for photography shortly after which you will continue the journey to the park.
Upon your arrival to the Park, you will check in accommodation just in time for lunch. After the refreshment, we will then head out for an evening game drive; expect to see various wildlife species to include: giant elephants, hippopotamus, lions, leopards, cheetahs, giraffes and so many more.

An evening sunset game drive in the Mara offers you an opportunity to view wildlife in the back ground of the beautiful African sunset. We return to accommodation after the delightful experience for dinner and overnight stay. Day 2: Full Day Masai Mara National Reserve

The next 6 to 10 hours are spent game viewing in Kenya’s leading Masai Mara National Reserve. You will embark on two game drives in the Mara: morning game drive and the afternoon game drive with organized bush breakfast and picnic lunch in search of the big five and other wildlife species to include: Masai giraffe, baboons, warthogs, Wildebeest, buffaloes, zebras, jackals, spotted hyenas, topi, impala, Hartebeests, nat eared foxes, the crocodiles and hippopotamus of the Mara and Talek Rivers.
We will have a full day to track the resident wildlife in Masai Mara National Reserve. After the thrilling day of magnificent game viewing in Masai Mara National Reserve, we retire at our accommodation for dinner and overnight stay.

To Note:

  • There is an optional cultural visit to the Masaai tribe community within the park; this visit grants you a chance to learn about the Masaai culture, customs, ways of living and their exercising cultural dance.

Day 3: Masai Mara National Reserve to Lake Nakuru

Early morning after your breakfast, we say goodbye to the Masai Mara Ecosystem. We then embark on a 4 hour drive to Lake Nakuru National Park; this drive is scenic as offers beautiful views of the Great Rift Valley. We arrive at Lake Nakuru National Park just in time for lunch after which we head out for our lake Nakuru adventure; enjoy an evening game drive that features wildlife viewing; Lake Nakuru National Park is the only place where you can encounter the black and white rhinos. We also harvest more lifetime memories of the beautiful huge numbers of flamingoes floating on Lake Nakuru before heading back to your accommodation for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 4: Lake Nakuru to Ol Pejeta

Early morning after your breakfast, we depart Lake Nakuru to transfer to Ol Pejeta Conservancy. Ol Pejeta is Situated on the equator west of Nanyuki, between the foothills of the Aberdares and Mount Kenya, Upon arrival to the Park we then embark, we spend the day exploring the Ol Pejeta reserve, going on a game drive and visiting its world-renowned rhino sanctuary before retiring at our accommodation for dinner and overnight stay

Day 5 :Full Day Ol Pejeta

Wake up early to catch the sunrise over the conservancy. Head out for a morning game drive and keep a lookout for animals like lions, elephants, giraffes and rhinos. Enjoy breakfast served at the camp or in the bush while taking in the stunning views of Mount Kenya to mark the end of our morning adventure.

This Afternoon is meant for yet another game drive but open to a number of otional activities in Ol Pejeta. The Conservancy offers a variety of other optional wildlife activities to include;

  • Guided walking safaris to learn more about the conservancy’s ecology and wildlife
  • Visits to the Chimpanzee Sanctuary that will enlight you about the primates that have been rescued and rehabilitated in Ol Pejeta.
  • Night game drives to witness nocturnal animals come to life are also available. Ol Pejeta is home to over 130 mammal species, including leopards, hyenas and jackals, which are all active at night.

Day 6: Ol Pejeta to Nairobi

This is the last day of your 6 day safari. Early morning after your breakfast; we prepare to check out of accommodation. We exit Ol Pejeta and drive back to Nairobi with a picnic lunch stop then continue to the airport for your flight home or consider an extension to the beaches of the Kenyan Coast
