Itinerary

Day 1: Nairobi to Samburu National Reserve

Early morning after your breakfast, our guide/driver will pick you up from your Hotel in Nairobi for pre safari briefing shortly after which we transfer to Samburu National Reserve in Northern Kenya. Enjoy en route scenic views of Nairobi suburbs driving passed Mountain Kenya, Africa’s second tallest mountain. We arrive at our booked accommodation in Samburu just in time for lunch, we check in and then have a tasteful lunch followed by a relaxation at camp before head out for our first game viewing adventure Samburu National Reserve. After our first game viewing experience in Samburu, we will return to the accommodation for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2 : Full Day Wildlife Activities in Smaburu (Game Drives)

We enjoy this full day of wild game viewing in the wilderness of Samburu National Reserve. We wake up very early to look out for early risers. This morning game drive comes with an option to have a picnic breakfast served in a bush setting or return to camp for breakfast and lunch then later head back for the evening game drive.

The ecology of Samburu Kenya is defined by the contrasting habitats of riverine forest along the Ewaso Nyiro and austere acacia scrub and rocky slopes extending outward from it. We explore the two major reserves in Samburu comprising of Samburu Buffalo Springs and Shaba National Reserve that offer the best chance of sighting leopard in Kenya, and lion, elephant and buffalo are also quite common. The main attraction, however, is a host of drycountry specials absent or rare in most other East African parks.

Among there are mammals, such as Beisa oryx and gerenuk, and a long list of birds of which the cobalt-chested vulturine guinea fowl is the most spectacular After collecting full day unforgettable memories, we will return to accommodation for dinner and overnight stay

Day 3 : Samburu to Lake Nakuru National Park

Early morning after your breakfast, we will hit the road with an en route game drive departing Samburu for Lake Nakuru National Park. We arrive at our booked accommodation in Lake Nakuru National Park just in time for lunch and relaxation after which we head out for our lake Nakuru adventure.

Lake Nakuru National Park encompasses the alkaline lake of the same name and is frequently visited by hundreds of thousands (sometimes more than a million) of greater and lesser flamingos, providing an amazing bird spectacle. More than 400 bird species in all have been recorded. Located 100 miles (160 km) northwest of Nairobi on a fair road, the park covers 73-square-miles (188-km2) — most of which is the lake itself. Nakuru has been declared a black rhino sanctuary and has a fair number of these endangered animals. Other wildlife includes lion, leopard, Rothschild’s giraffe (introduced), waterbuck, reedbuck, hippo, baboon, pelican, and cormorant.

After being sure to have collected evening sunset game memories, we will return to accommodation for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 4 : Lake Nakuru to Masai Mara National Reserve

Early morning after your breakfast, we say goodbye to Lake Nakuru to embark on a 4 hours’ drive to Masai Mara National Reserve. Enjoy yet another scenic drive through the scenic views of the Great Rift Valley before arriving to our booked accommodation in Masai Mara National Reserve to check in just in time for lunch and relaxation at camp. We later head out for an evening game drive. The Masai Mara is Kenya’s most celebrated wildlife reserve, and arguably its best. The park is dominated by open grassland, interspersed with rocky hills, acacia woodland, and riparian forest. Mara Mara is rewarding not just for predators such as lion, leopard and cheetah but for spotted hyena, bat-eared fox, and black-backed jackal as well. Elephant and buffalo are common, and a number of black rhinos still survive. Other ungulates include impala, eland, and reedbuck. A checklist of 450-plus birds includes raptors and ground birds such as ostrich and ground hornbill. At sun dawn we take advantange of the photographic moment then return to accommodation for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 5 : Full Day Masai Mara Wildlife Activities (Game Drives)

The next two days are spent game viewing in Kenya’s leading Masai Mara National Reserve. We will embark on two game drives; in the morning game drive and the afternoon game drive with an option to carry picnic breakfast and lunch to spend the entire morning out or return to accommodation for breakfast and lunch shortly after which we head back to search for the big five and other wildlife species to include: Masai giraffe, baboons, warthogs, Wildebeest, buffaloes, zebras, jackals, spotted hyenas, topi, impala, Hartebeests, nat eared foxes, the crocodiles and hippopotamus of the Mara and Talek Rivers.

Day 6 : Full Day Masai Mara Wildlife Activities (Game Drives)

This is yet another full day experience in the Mara, early morning after your warming breakfast; we will embark on another series of game drives in other conservancies of Maasai Mara. It is guaranteed that wherever you go in the Mara, there is a different scenery and abundant wildlife to include the Masai giraffe, baboons, topis, Zebras, Wildebeest, nat eared foxes, grey jackals, spotted hyenas, hartebeests, buffaloes, hippopotamus, crocodiles, cheetahs,the big five and so much more. After the thrilling day of game viewing in Masai Mara National Reserve, we head back to accommodation for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 7 : Masai Mara National Reserve to Nairobi

This day begins with a leisurely breakfast at the accommodation before retracing our steps to Nairobi. Our magical Kenya Safari comes to an end at your arrival in Nairobi to your booked accommodation or to the airport for your departure flight
